Dorothy graduated from Northeastern University with her Associate of Science in 1980, and was awarded her Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene the same year. She has also completed advanced studies in Soft Tissue Management through the Pankey Institute. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association.
Dorothy has lived in Holden for over 25 years with her husband David. Together they have five children; a daughter 16, and quadruplets 14 years old. As a mother of five teenagers at Wachusett Regional High School this fall, Dorothy is incredibly active in our community. She has been involved in Girl Scouts for 11 years as both a troop leader and coordinator of the Father/Daughter dance. Town sports are very important to her family, and Dorothy is a committed fan, with multiple games at multiple locations every weekend of the year. She and her family are members of a church in Holden, and serve in Interfaith Hospitality and Kids Express Ministry.
Because of her strong ties to our community, Dorothy strongly believes in building a personal relationships with her patients. She truly cares about the families she sees, and loves following the growth in them over the years. Dental anxiety is quickly forgotten as she makes dental appointments breeze by with her upbeat attitude and easy comraderie… not only with the people she has known for years, but those who are new to her as well. Of course, Dorothy is also a whiz with kids, as only a mother of five can be.
Dorothy has a wonderful and approachable demeanor, however she is no-nonsense when it comes to oral health. She is a perfectionist with hygiene care, and many of our new patients remark that they have never experienced such a thoughtful and personalized hygiene appointment. She strongly believes in the value of routine hygiene care; with consistent treatment patients can experience easier appointments, outstanding smiles, and less overall expense. Our office depends on her broad scope of knowledge and discerning eye.
